Hi, I'm Ben Forrest and I'm not nearly as serious as that guy in the picture! Technically, I started coding in the '80s, but professionally I've been delivering software solutions for over 15 years and I've designed and built production systems for businesses small and large.

I'm the Co-Founder and consultant CTO of Fabmin, a SaaS web application for SMEs.

I’m a multi-platform software engineer, architect and technical manager with experience in a range of industries from large corporate to early-stage startup. I've designed, written and managed desktop, web and SaaS systems in Ruby, Javascript, .Net and Java. I have mentored and led development teams in both traditional and Agile environments and I specialize in Lean and Kanban. I have also been a consultant senior coach at Makers Academy for over a year.

I am an expert in software design, development and delivery using industry-leading best practices such as Behaviour Driven Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Platform as a Service and Lean Startup.

I code, teach code and read about code. And when I'm not doing that, I read literary fiction, direct amateur theatre, write for my kids and teach Aikido.
